Bitmapped Fonts
Currently the following X-Windows bdf (bitmap distribution format) fonts are available:

These fonts are packaged
in Xfonts.tar.Z
(98 Kb), which also includes a Makefile to convert from the ASCII .bdf
format to other binary font formats.
PostScript Fonts
- vnlpr.tar.Z
package includes PostScript Type-1 version of
7 TriChlor basic fonts (as listed in vnfont1 and vnfont2)
under the names pr_*.ps.
- PS.tar.Z package
contains fixed-width PostScript Type-3 fonts initcour.ps and
initcourb.ps for various uses
(such as printing plain text VISCII files in PostScript, see the vnpstext.tar.Z package).
- groff_fonts.tar.Z
package includes PostScript Type-1 version of
7 TriChlor basic fonts for use with GNU's groff.
TrueType Fonts
- tt1_unix.tar
(553 Kb) contains AnhMinh TrueType fonts in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic formats.
Thus especially suitable to read Web pages
in VISCII in Unix. Author: B.T. Vu
TeX/LaTeX Fonts
Note the new LaTeX2e is available in teTeX,
a TeX distribution for UNIX compatible systems.
It is available in source form and binaries precompiled for many
popular platforms. Binary installation is straightforward.
Type
on a Unix system to see ftp sites. Usually,
teTeX is in (tex-archive)/systems/unix/teTeX
LaTeX is in (tex-archive)/macros/latex/base
